How would you spend your last day on Earth?

Death, is just an overrated misconception. Everyone thinks its sad and horrible. I see death differently. I believe in rebirth and an after life, after all people need something to live for.
Everyone fears death. I don't fear death itself because its normal everybody goes through it, instead I fear more what I'll miss out in life once I'm gone.
I believe everyone has a purpose in life, and once they fufill their purpose they can leave earth to a better place. What if you could somehow know when you were going to die? What would you do? What would you say? Who would you want to spend it with?
My fantasy:
If it was my last day to live I would like to spend it in Cancun or Hawaii or a beautiful Paradise. I would be up at dawn to enjoy the sunrise with my family. I would eat the best most expensive meals on the menu. The day would be followed with an exhilerating adventure like bungee jumping. The day would be filled with smiles, laughter, and love. Then a picnic in a hot air balloon. After that, I would like to watch the sunset on the beautiful beach. Warmed by a nice bon fire and roasted marshmellows. I would look up at the stars and listen to the waves on the ocean. I would end the day with a short and brief farewell (because I dislike goodbyes). It would be a day to remember.
My reality:
I would wake up early to watch the sunrise on the roof. I would like to be in my city because this is where I grew up and lived. It contains all my memories and loved ones. Then, I would go to the donut shop down the street for breakfast with my mom and sisters because it was a tradition since kindergarden. I would go to the park and ride my blue bike and let the wind blow in my hair and face. We would have a picnic by the trees and playground. We would look at old pictures and reminisce. Laughing and crying at all the good times. At home we would watch the sunset and lay outside on the cool grass to watch the stars . I would listen to my sister sing, while my younger sister played the guitar. I would tell them how much I loved them. I would say goodbye because it would be the last goodbye I would ever say. It would be a simple day. Nothing fancy all I need is my loved ones. The day would be fairly plain and uncomplicated. That would be how I spend my last day on earth.

  1. Really lovely post, Cassandra. For next week, work on avoiding comma splices and fragments.
