"Everything you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it because nobody else will"-Ghandi
Ghandi is one of my favorite historic figures. He wanted peace...not the kind of peace you get from violence or war but through pure peacefulness. He inspires me. I hope to accomplish great things in my own life, regardless of how insignificant it may be. I would just like to make an impact in somebody else's life. Just the other day I was in the TJ Mexico area visiting my grandmother, and I met 5 beautful little girls. They were 12 years old and younger. These girls asked me to teach them how to write. The joy it brought them to spell their own names brought me emmense happiness. These girls are surrounded in poverty, dirt, and they live in shacks. These girls were even lucky to own just a new pair of shoes. It astounded me how happy thse girls were in their homes. They drew flowers, rain, and smiles. It made me truely value and ackowledge how fortunate I am. I think I would like to work with children I desire to help people and kids. I don't know exactly what I want to do with myself but it was nice doing a small thing like, teaching underpriviledged kids to write. I thank these girls for the valuable lesson they taught me. I plan to keep close relations with these girls and hopefully they to can do something small that will make an impact on someone else's world.
Beautiful post, Cassandra! For next week, keep working on proofreading for spelling, and make sure that each sentence is complete and clear.
